Salty-mouthed musician Kid Rock faced strong condemnation for calling The View host Joy Behar a “bitch” — but days later Behar reportedly exploded on co-host Meghan McCain, repeatedly calling her a “bitch.”
During a live interview on Fox and Friends last week, Kid Rock was asked to comment on the political climate in the U.S.
“The division in the country right now — it’s so hard for people just to get past that we can disagree and still be cordial with one another, and just talk about things without going for each other’s throats and protesting everything,” Rock said. “God forbid you say something a little wrong — you’re racist, homophobic, Islamophobic.
“People need to calm down, get a little less politically correct, and I would say love everybody, except I’d say screw that Joy Behar bitch. Everybody but that.”
Rock issued a statement explaining the sentiments behind his crass knock on Behar.
Rock was subsequently fired as grand marshal of the Nashville Christmas Parade amid backlash from local officials.
The ladies of The View vigorously defended Behar in response to Rock’s attack, including token Republican Meghan McCain.
“I want to say first, I don’t agree with calling any woman a ‘bitch’ for having a political opinion — people do it to me all the time,” McCain said.
Days later, McCain found herself being called a bitch — this time by an irate Behar, according to the Daily Mail.
In the middle of a tribute segment for deceased former president George H.W. Bush, Behar launched into an attack on President Trump — an endeavor she undertakes with regularity.
McCain voiced her opposition to Behar’s hijacking of a solemn moment, sparking a heated disagreement which was interrupted by an abrupt commercial break.
A “show insider” told the Daily Mail the argument escalated off-air, in front of the studio audience.
“’My God! Get this bitch under control,” Behar reportedly said of McCain. “If this sh*t doesn’t stop I’m quitting this damn show. I can’t take this much more.”
“I’ve tolerated a lot of sh*t on this show but I’m at my wits’ end with this entitled bitch. Enough already! Enough already! I’m not playing nice any longer.”
Earlier this year, Behar equated Christianity with “mental illness” — comments for which she later apologized.
