Democrat Mayor of Texas Border Town Begs Biden Admin Not To Release Illegals into Community

‘I am pleading and requesting with you to please put a halt to any measures regarding the release of immigrants awaiting court dates into the city of Del Rio and surrounding areas.’

The Democrat mayor of a Texas border town is pleading with the Biden administration not to release illegal aliens into his community, arguing he doesn’t have the resources to deal with the influx amid an extreme winter storm.

In a message to Biden published publicly Wednesday via the city’s official YouTube channel, Del Rio Mayor Bruno J. Lozano tells the administration his town lacks the resources to accommodate the flood of illegals awaiting court dates.

“Mr. President, my name is Bruno Lozano, mayor of the City of Del Rio, Texas,” the border town mayor says. “I am pleading and requesting with you to please put a halt to any measures regarding the release of immigrants awaiting court dates into the city of Del Rio and surrounding areas.”

Lozano’s request came as the entire state struggled with an energy debacle caused by a freak winter storm and worsened by bureaucratic red tape.

The mayor argues, “We do not have the resources available to house and accommodate these migrants within our community.”

Lozano says if the federal government does authorize the release of illegals, he would have to refuse the order via an emergency declaration.

“I will have no choice but to use the extreme measure under the emergency declaration as the mayor of the City of Del Rio, Texas, to refuse the entry of migrants awaiting court dates into the City of Del Rio.”

“If you do send these individuals into our community, we will be forced to make a decision to leave them without resources under these dire circumstances,” he tells the administration.

“I am asking to please stop. Please make another plan for this federal issue.”

“We are completely and utterly spread thin with resources for our own community,” Lozano says. “With the extreme weather conditions and icy roads, we are limited with what we can bring into our community.”

“I cannot mix a migrant population with Del Rio residents that are extremely vulnerable and have been displaced due to the extreme weather that has not improved,” he adds.

During the Obama administration, immigration court dockets were filled to the point that illegals were given court dates up to three years out, with 90 percent failing to show up to court.
